In his early career, John exercised his wit and exceptional drawing talents as a syndicated cartoonist with King Features and was published in over 80 U.S. and international newspapers including the Washington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, Toledo Blade and Tokyo Times. He was also the cartoonist for the Chicago Tribune Magazine as well as the Detroit News Magazine and currently is published daily in the Fort Myers News-Press and other Gannett Publications in Florida. John also is the author of five books of humor collections from Simon and Schuster and Workman Publishing. He also does three dimensional mixed media sculptures that are characterized by his wit, exuberance, humor, and optimism.
